Spectral inequalities for matrix exponentials (Q1113971): Difference between revisions

For any complex matrix A the author proves the following inequality for partial traces of the kth compound matrix \(tr_ i^{(k)}(e^ Ae^{A^*})\leq tr_ i^{(k)}(e^{A+A^*}).\) Equality holds if A is normal.
