The plant to be controlled is assumed to be uncertain; i.e., some parameters of the plant are unknown, but is assumed to be bounded within given ranges. The stabilization of such uncertain plants is formulated as simultaneous stabilization. MIMO plants are considered in this paper. The basic technique employed in this paper is to represent the uncertain multivariable system in the form of row Hermite invariant factorization. The assumptions are mild; i.e., plant coefficients are continuous, the plant has some property like minimum phase, and the plant has one sign high frequency. Under such mild condition, an iterative procedure to construct a stable compensator is presented.
