A periodic problem for an impulsive system has the form (*) \(\dot x=f(t,x)\) \((t\neq t_ i)\), \(\Delta x|_{t=t_ i}=I_ i(x(t_ i))\), \(x(0)=x(T)\), for \(x\in {\mathbb{R}}^ n\), \(i=1,...,p\). The scalar case \((n=1)\) is considered first, and it is shown how to construct convergent sequences whose limits are minimal and maximal solutions of the system (*). For the general case \(n\geq 2\) an analogous result is obtained for maximal and minimal `quasisolutions' as defined in the paper.
