Several generalizations of the celebrated Ky Fan minimax inequality [\textit{K. Fan}, Inequalities III, Proc. 3rd Symp., Los Angeles 1969, 103-113 (1972; Zbl 0302.49019)] make use of a structure of linear spaces. In the years 1983-1985 \textit{C. Horvath} obtained minimax inequalities by replacing convexity assumptions with merely topological properties: pseudo-convexity [C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. I 296, 403-406 (1983; Zbl 0527.54042)] and contractibility [ibid. 299, 519-521 (1984; Zbl 0561.54043); and Lect. Notes Pure Appl. Math. 107, 99-106 (1987; Zbl 0619.55002)]. In this paper, in the Horvath setting, we state generalized minimax inequality for functions taking values in ordered vector spaces. Let X be a topological space and (E,C) a topological Riesz space, where C is the positive cone. X is provided with a topological structure on which the contractible sets replace the convex hulls. Given two functions f, g defined on \(X\times X\) and taking values in (E,C), give sufficient conditions to establish generalized minimax inequalities. We observe that the compactness assumption on X is also relaxed.
