Der Autor zeigt: Ist X eine beliebige endliche Menge von n Punkten der euklidischen Ebene, dann gibt es zwei Punkte x und y von X, so daß jeder Kreis K, der x und y enthält, auch mindestens \(\lceil (5/84)(n- 2)\rceil\) weitere Punkte von X enthält. Dieses Resultat verbessert eine Schranke von \textit{V. Neumann} und \textit{J. Urrutia} in Discrete Math. 69, No.2, 113-178 (1988; Zbl 0645.05024), die gezeigt haben, daß jeder solche Kreis K mindestens 1/60\(\cdot n\) Punkte enthält.
