A useful concept in the theory of the Schrödinger operator H is Kato- smoothness of an operator B which means that \(\int^{+\infty}_{- \infty}\| Be^{iHt}\phi \|^ 2 dt<\infty\) is satisfied for any vector \(\phi\) that belongs to the range of the spectral projection of H onto a given interval. A rich class of such operators (for N-body Schrödinger operator H) was found by \textit{I. Sigal} and \textit{A. Soffer} [Ann. Math. 126, 35-108 (1987; Zbl 0646.47009)]. The author of the reviewed paper presents a different proof which is more transparent and avoids some technical steps (but is still highly nontrivial).
