Algebras of endomorphisms of semistable vector bundles of rank 3 over a Riemann surface (Q1824738): Difference between revisions

Using the characterization of the algebras of endomorphisms of indecomposable vector bundles over a compact connected Riemann surface of genus \(g,g>1\), the author gives necessary and sufficient conditions for a semistable vector bundle of rank 3 to have a certain algebra as its algebra of endomorphisms. In Section 3 the author proves the existence of such bundles and compares their difference with the case of genus 1 [cf. \textit{M. F. Atiyah}, Proc. Lond. Math. Soc; III. Ser. 7, 414-452 (1957; Zbl 0084.173)].
