The authors formulate the notion of degenerations for finite dimensional Lie superalgebras, applying \textit{A. Nijenhuis} and \textit{R. W. Richardson}'s approach [Bull. Am. Math. Soc. 72, 1--29 (1966; Zbl 0136.30502)]. The deformation equation and the cohomology criteria for rigidity is deduced.
