Let \(\Delta\) denote the unit disc, and let \({\mathcal D}(f)\) denote the Dirichlet integral \[ \pi^{-1}\int_{\Delta}| f'(z)|^ 2 dx dy\}^{1/2} \] for a function f analytic in \(\Delta\). If \(f(0)=0\) and \({\mathcal D}(f)\leq 1\) it is shown that \[ \int^{2\pi}_{0}e^{| f(re^{i\theta})|^ 2}d\theta \leq C \] for an absolute constant C. This result, earlier appearing in the work of Chang and Marshall is reduced in this paper from a previously unpublished theorem of Beurling. The author also gives a short proof of a theorem of Moser: If \(\int^{\infty}_{0}\psi (y)^ 2dy\leq 1\) and \(F(t)=t- (\int^{t}_{0}\psi (y)dy)^ 2\) then \(\int^{\infty}_{0}e^{- F(t)}dt\leq C\) for an absolute constant C.
