    This paper is dealing with approximation of a function f in the usual Sobolev space \(H^{m+1}(\Omega)\), \(\Omega\) a nonvoid bounded domain in \(R^ n\) with Lipschitz boundary, by interpolation discrete \(D^ m\)- spline \(\sigma^ d_ h\) of f, in the sense of \textit{P. Arcangeli} [Publication UA 1204 CNRS, No.1986/2]. The author obtains estimates of the type: \[ | f-\sigma^ d_ h|_{\ell,\Omega}\leq C.d^{m- \ell}| f-\sigma^ d_ h|_{m,\Omega},\quad \ell =0,...,m, \] where d is the Hausdorff distance between \(\Omega\) and the set \(A^ d\) of data points and \(| v|_{\ell,\Omega}=(\sum_{| \alpha | <\ell}\int_{\Omega}(\partial^{\alpha}v)^ 2 dx)^{1/2}\) is a Sobolev seminorm. Similar results are obtained in the case of approximation by smoothing discrete \(D^ m\)-spline \(\sigma^ d_{\epsilon h}\) of f \(H^{m'}(\Omega)\), \(m'>m\), associated to the parameter \(\epsilon >0:\) \[ | f-\sigma^ h_{\epsilon h}|_{\ell,\Omega}\leq C(| f-\sigma^ d_{\epsilon h}|_{m,\Omega}d^{m-\ell}+d^{(n/2)-\ell}\epsilon^{1/2}). \]
