The non-existence of a global radial solution of \(div ( | \nabla u|^{n-2} \nabla u)=e^ u\) in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\setminus \{0\}\) is studied. For the radial form \((n-1)| u'|^{n-2}(u''+1/r\quad u')=e^ u,\) \(u(1)=0\), \(u'(1)=\delta\), \(0\leq r<\infty\) an algorithm is given which requires cN multiplication operations, \(c\leq 5\), N is the number of mesh points between \(r=1\) and that value r where the solution blows up. This method is faster than finite difference and finite element methods and can be made parallel. Proofs are not given.
