Let X be an n-dimensional vector space over a finite field, Y the set of (n-1)-flats in X, and let C(X) denote the space of complex valued functions on X. The author proves a characterization of the subsets \({\mathcal C}\subset Y\) for which the Radon transform R: C(X)\(\to C({\mathcal C})\) is injective. The result is a finite analogue of I. M. Gelfand's admissibility problem in integral geometry.
