The authors construct a matrix polynomial function with low McMillan degree satisfying a given set of tangential Lagrange-Sylvester interpolation condition. Several contour integral interpolation problems are considered and the interpolation conditions are formulated in divisor-remainder form. A Euclidean algorithm with respect to the McMillan degree and a matrix polynomial are given. General results for two-sided tangential Lagrange-Sylvester interpolation problems for matrix polynomials are also obtained.
