A generalization of Poincaré's theorem on ratio asymptotics of the solutions to higher order recurrence equations is given for the system of first order equations \(u_{n+1}=A_ nu_ n,\) where \(A_ n\) is a \(k\times k\) matrix such that \(\lim_{n\to \infty} A_ n=A\), and \(u_ n\) is a k-dimensional column vector.
