The authors consider a grid scheme for approximation, generated by prime numbers. An error estimate is obtained for the corresponding Galerkin approximate solution of the heat equation \(u_ t=u_{xx}\), \((t,x)\in [0,\infty)\times (0,1),\quad u(0,x)=f(x),\quad u(t,0)=u(t,1)=0\) and a numerical example is given.
