    Für spezielle hyperelliptische Kurven \((y^ 2=x^{2g+1}+a\) bzw. \(y^ 2=x^{2g+1}+ax)\) vom Geschlecht g über einem endlichen Körper werden genaue Bedingungen dafür angegeben, daß die reziproken Nullstellen \(\omega_ 1\) der L-Reihe \(L(t)=\prod (1-\omega_ it)\) Einheitswurzeln sind. Bekanntlich folgt aus dieser Eigenschaft, daß die Hasse-Witt- Invariante der Kurve gleich 0 ist.
