    The paper is concerned with the numerical solution of systems of nonlinear equations having nondifferentiable terms. The proposed method extends a class of quasi-Newton methods proposed by \textit{C. G. Broyden} [Math. Comput. 19, 577-593 (1965; Zbl 0131.139)]. A convergence analysis of the proposed method is provided and numerical examples illustrate the obtained theoretical results.
