The singular graphs S(A), the level diagrams of A, \(S_*(A)\), and the Jordan diagrams of A J(A) (A is a singular M-matrix) are considered. As a continuation of the work by \textit{D. J. Richman} and \textit{H. Schneider} [Aequationes Math. 17, 208-234 (1978; Zbl 0379.15009), Linear Algebra Appl. 84, 161-189 (1986; Zbl 0613.15017)] the relations of S(A) and \(S_*(A)\) to J(A), possible S(B) for M-matrices B such that \(J(B)=J(A)\), for given J(A), and the possible J(B) for M-matrices B such that \(S_*(B)=S_*(A)\) are studied. Conditions are derived under which \(\omega_ 1+...+\omega_ p=\lambda_ 1+...+\lambda_ p\) and \(\omega_ 1+...+\omega_ p\geq (\lambda_ 1+...+\lambda_ p)+t\), where \(\omega\) are Weyr characteristic and \(\lambda\) level characteristic numbers of A, \(h=ind(A)\), \(1\leq p\leq h\), t is a positive integer with some restrictions. For the case of \(ind(A)=2\) the possible \(S_*(B)\) for M-matrices B such that \(J(B)=J(A)\) at a given J(A) and the possible J(B) for M-matrices B such that \(S_*(B)=S_*(A)\) at a given \(S_*(A)\) are studied.
