This paper determines the orbits of the irreducible prehomogeneous vector space (G,\(\rho\),V) given by \(G=Sl(5,{\mathbb{C}})\times Gl(4,{\mathbb{C}})\), \(\rho =\Lambda_ 2\otimes \Lambda_ 1\) and \(V=\Lambda^ 2{\mathbb{C}}^ 5\otimes {\mathbb{C}}^ 4\). A table of these orbits was announced by the author [in Proc. Japan Acad., Ser. A 55, No.2, 37-40 (1979; Zbl 0421.58003)]. It turned out that one orbit was missing. This paper contains the complete list of orbits together with (fairly complete) proofs. The method of proof is roughly speaking the following [see the above cited paper]: one chooses a subgroup \(G'\) of G and decomposes \(V=V'\oplus V''\) where \(V'\) and \(V''\) are \(G'\)-admissible. Moreover, one considers the natural projection \(\phi: V\to V'\) and the fiber stabilizers \(\tilde G_{x'}=\{g\in G\); \(g\cdot \phi^{-1}(x')=\phi^{-1}(x')\}\), \(x'\in V'\). Then (Proposition 1.7): Let \(\{x_ i'\}_{i\in I}\) be representative points of \(G'\)-orbits in \(V'\). For each \(x'_ i\) let \(\{x_{ij}\}_{j\in J_ i}\) be representative points of \(\tilde G_{x_ i'}\)-orbits in \(\phi^{-1}(x'_ i)\). Then any point x in V is non-uniquely G-equivalent to \(x_{ij}\) for some \(i\in I\) and \(j\in J_ i.\) The paper starts with \(G'=Sl(5,{\mathbb{C}})\times Gl(3,{\mathbb{C}})\) and \(V'={\mathbb{C}}^{10}\otimes {\mathbb{C}}^ 3\) and uses the corresponding orbit decomposition determined by \textit{T. Kimura}, in Nagoya Math. J. 85, 1-80 (1982; Zbl 0451.58035). The final result is obtained in a lengthy technical and detailed study of relevant orbital decompositions following the idea (and its refinements) outlined above.
