In the Hamilton-Jacobi equation the Hamilton function is supposed to be periodic in the variables \(x_ 1,...,x_ d\). The suggested method serves to determine existence of global solutions of the above equation. Starting from an approximate solution a series - converging to the true solution according to an appropriate definition of the error - can be constructed by a special iteration process. The smoothness of this solution is proved using methods of real analysis. The author believes that it is possible to apply this theorem to establish rigorously the existence of solutions of the original equation close to the numerical approximations starting from numerically constructed approximate solutions. Concerning the norms applied to the error-definition: the constants figuring in the estimations are not given explicitely, accordingly the norms defined on finite dimensional spaces are not supplied. Naturally in concrete applications, choice of norms and parameters play an essential role.
