This paper discusses the asymptotic factorization of operators in complex time for a class of evolution equations. The developed scheme reveals that operator splitting can be used to broaden the range of stability of algorithms for the numerical solution of ordinary differential equations. It is also shown that the scheme provides an alternative to the classical methods for stiff systems integration. Examples are given as illustration.
