For a Banach space X denote by CB(X) the family of all nonvoid closed bounded subsets of X equipped with the Hausdorff topology \(\tau_ H\), and by CC(X) the family of all nonvoid closed convex subsets of X equipped with a weaker topology \(\tau_ M\), called the Mosco topology [\textit{U. Mosco}, Adv. Math. 3, 510-585 (1969; Zbl 0192.491)]. The aim of this paper is to study the topological properties of the bivariate multifunction \(Cent: CB(X)\times CC(X)\to CC(X),\) where Cent(F,A) denotes the relative Chebyshev center of F in A. For instance, if X is reflexive then Cent is w-usco (weakly upper semicontinuous with compact values). If X is reflexive and satisfies condition (H) (weak convergence of nets of norm-one elements implies norm convergence) then Cent: remote \((X)\times CC(X)\to CC(X)\) is usco, where remote(X) denotes the collection of all sets in CB(X) admitting farthest points. For X a separable reflexive Banach space it is proved a Kenderov type theorem on the generic single- valuedness property of the multivalued mapping Cent (Th. 4.3). The paper ends with the study of the weakest topology on CC(X) for which the map \(A\to rad(F,A)\) is continuous, for each \(F\in CB(X)\), where rad(F,A) denotes the relative Chebyshev radius of F in A.
