    The author considers the following semilinear evolution equation \[ \begin{cases} u'(t)+Au(t)+\partial Gu(t)+F(t,u(t))=0 &\text{a.e. }t\in \mathbb{R},\\ u(t+T)=-u(t), &t\in \mathbb{R},\end{cases} \tag{1} \] in a separable Hilbert space \(H\). He proves that if \(A:D(A) \subset H\to H\) is a linear densely defined closed selfadjoint operator such that its gradient \(\partial G\) is continuous and maps bounded sets of \(H\) into bounded sets in \(H\), and \(F:\mathbb{R}\times H\to H\) is a continuous function satisfying the following two conditions: \(F(t+T,-u)=-F(t,u)\) \(\forall (t,u)\in \mathbb{R}\times H\) and \(| F(t,u)| \leq f(t)\) a.e. \(t\in \mathbb{R}\), for some \(f(.)\in L^2((0,T);\mathbb{R})\), then (1) has a weak anti-periodic solution \(u\) such that \(\int_0^{T}| u'(t)|^2 dt<+\infty\). This result extends previous results by \textit{Y. Q. Chen, X. Weng} and \textit{H. Xu} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 273, No. 2, 627--636 (2002; Zbl 1055.34113)], and by \textit{A. Haraux} [Manuscr. Math. 63, No. 4, 479--505 (1989; Zbl 0684.35010)] who studied (1) by assuming respectively that \(A\) has only a point spectrum, or that \(\partial G\) is locally Lipschitz.
