Oscillation of second-order elliptic equations with damping terms (Q820023): Difference between revisions

The aim of this paper is to study oscillation properties of \[ \sum^N_{i,j=1} D_i\bigl[a_{ij}D_jy\bigr]+\sum^N_{i=1}b_i(x)D_iy +C(x,y)=0, ~x\in\Omega (r_0) \tag{1}, \] where \(\Omega(r_0)=\{x\in \mathbb{R}^N\mid\|x\|\geq r_0\}\) for some \(r_0>0\), \(\|\cdot\|\) is the usual Euclidean norm in \(\mathbb{R}^N\). Under some natural assumptions on \(a_{ij}(x)\), \(b_i(x)\), \(C(x,y)\) the author gives some oscillation criteria for (1) via modified Riccati technique.
