On the filling invariants at infinity of Hadamard manifolds (Q2490383): Difference between revisions

The author studies the filling invariants at infinity for Hadamard manifolds defined in 1998 by \textit{N. Brady} and \textit{B. Farb} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 350, 3393--3405 (1998; Zbl 0920.53023)]. As the author mentions in the abstract of his paper, among other results he gives a positive answer to the question posed by Brady and Farb, namely: whether these invariants can be used to detect the rank of a symmetric space of noncompact type.
