The authors give some sufficient conditions for the intersection of all trajectories of the Liénard system \[ \dot{x}=y-F(x),\quad \dot{y}=-g(x), \] with the vertical isocline \(y=F(x)\). The paper contains some examples to which previous results can not be applied.
