    The authors compare unions and intersections of the following spaces of analytic functions in the open unit disk, previously studied by \textit{R. Zhao} [Ann. Acad. Sci. Fenn. Diss. 105, 1--56(1996; Zbl 0851.30017)]: \[ F (p, q, s) = \biggl\{f \in H(D) : \sup\, {a\in D}\int_{D} | f'(z) |^{p}(1- | z|^{2})^{q}g^{s}(z,a) \,d A(z)< \infty\biggr\}, \] where \(g(z, a) = - \log |\frac {a-z} {1-\overline az} |\) is Green's function for \(D\). Analoguous results are achieved for the weighted Bergman spaces \[ A^p_q = \biggl\{f\in H(D) : \int_D |f (z)|^p (1 - |z|^2 )^q \,dA(z) < \infty \biggr\}. \] One result e.g. shows that \(\bigcap_{q<q^{*} <\infty} F (p, q^{*},s) =\bigcap_{0<p^{*} <p} F (p^{*} , q, s)\) whenever \(0 < p< \infty, -2 < q < \infty\) and \(0 \leq s <\infty\) such that \(q + s > -1\).
