    The authors have studied the cosmological models corresponding to two choices of \(f(R)\), namely, a power law in scalar curvature \(R\) and a logarithmic function of \(R\) to fit with the data on the gas mass and Hubble diagram of type Ia Supernovae. The Hubble constant and matter density parameter agree with some models but not the deceleration parameter.
