The paper deals with closed natural splines. The author claims that, for smooth closed curves, NURBS can be successively used, but natural splines are much simpler than NURBS and the algorithm of constructing natural splines can be adopted for building its closed complement. Therefore he proposes an algorithm for the generation of closed curvature continuous cubic splines.
