Hyperbolic twistor space (Q2496893): Difference between revisions

In the present paper the authors introduce the notion of hyperbolic twistor spaces over almost quaternionic manifolds of the second kind in the sense of \textit{P. Libermann} [C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris 234, 1030--1032 (1952; Zbl 0049.39403)]. These twistor spaces have as fibres hyperbolic planes and admit two natural almost complex structures. In section 2 they develop the theory for the case when the base space is a para-quaternionic Kähler manifold of dimension \(\geq8\). In section 3 they consider the case of four-dimensional manifolds with a neutral metric. Finally, in section 4 they prove that, in contrast with the classical twistor theory, it can exist an abundance of global holomorphic functions on a hyperbolic twistor space.
