A Fano variety is a normal projective variety such that the Weil divisor \(-K_X\) is an ample \(\mathbb{Q}\)-Cartier divisor. Fano varieties with \(\mathbb{Q}\)-factorial terminal singularities play a special role in the classification of varieties, because they are one of the final products of the minimal model program. As a special case of a conjecture of Borisov, Alexeev and Borisov, it is conjectured that Fano varieties with terminal singularities form a bounded family. This conjecture was proved by \textit{A. Borisov} and \textit{L. Borisov} for toric varieties [Mat. Sb. 183 (1992), No. 2, 134--141; translation in Russian Acad. Sci. Sb. Math. 75, No. 1, 277--283 (1993; Zbl 0786.14028)]. The author of the article under review implements the ideas behind the proof of the result of the Borisov brothers to obtain a classification of all Fano threefolds with terminal singularities using some clever combinatorial tricks and the aid of a computer.
