The author consider the Cauchy-Riemann equation for \((0,1)\) forms in the following general setting: Let \(\pi : X \to \mathcal{B}\) be a complex fiber bundle, with \(X, B\) complex manifolds, the fibers \(\pi^{-1}(p)\), \( p \in B\) biholomorphic to \(\mathbb{C}^k\), but where the transition mappings on \(X\) are not necessarely linear on the fibers. The main result is the following: If \(\omega\) is smooth closed \((0, 1)\) form on \(X\), compactly supported along the fibers (of dimension \(k\)), then there exists an unique smooth solution of \(\bar\partial = \omega\) such that (i) if \(k = 1\) vanishes at infinity along the fibers \((\pi)\). If \(k > 1\), \(u\) is compactly supported along the fibres and (iii) if \(\omega\) has compact support than \(u\) has compact support. The author applies this result to prove Hartogs and Hartogs-Bochner extension theorems in this general setting. In fact, the above result implies that \(H^1_c (X, \mathcal{O}) = 0\) where \(\mathcal{O}\) is sheaf of germs of holomorphic function, when \(k > 1\). The conditions of the main result and its corollaries can be relaxed. The surprising fact is that the techniques used for proving these results are simple extension of very classical techniques based on the Cauchy integral.
