The authors present a non-dissipative spatial high order Galerkin discontinuous method which is applied for solving the Maxwell equation in time domain. This method requires the use of a mesh composed of hexahedric cells and a solution can be obtained by splitting each cell into four hexahedric cells. A strategy for local time-stepping is also proposed in order to reduce the cost related to the little cells in the mesh. Numerical examples in the case of a plane wave illuminating a cone are also provided in the present paper.
