This paper studies hyperbolic Lie algebras of Borcherds type following the method of \textit{V.~Gritsenko} and \textit{V.~Nikulin} [Russ. Math. Surv. 57, No. 5, 921--979 (2002); translation from Usp. Mat. Nauk 57, No. 5, 79--138 (2002; Zbl 1057.17018)]. The classification of such algebras relies on the construction of certain automorphic forms, known as reflective automorphic forms, whose divisors are determined by reflections with respect to hyperbolic roots. The author constructs six types of reflective automorphic forms associated to hyperbolic Kac-Moody algebras of Borcherds type of signature \((1,3)\). She also obtains the denominator formulas for the four of those types.
