Let \(\omega\) be a local numerical invariant: for instance the regularity defect \(\omega^{\text{RegDef}}\), the Cohen-Macaulay defect \(\omega^{\text{CMDef}}\), the Gorenstein defect \(\omega^{\text{GorDef}}\) given for a noetherian local ring \(R\) by \(\omega^{\text{RegDef}}(R)=\text{emdim}(R)-\dim(R)\), \(\omega^{\text{CMDef}}(R)=\dim(R)-\text{depth}(R)\), \(\omega^{\text{GorDef}}(R)=\dim(R)-\text{depth}(R)+\text{type}(R)-1\). Similarly local invariants are the complete intersection defect, the Betti numbers and the (twisted) Bass numbers. Such local numerical invariants \(\omega\) defines on a scheme \(X\) a partition given by \(\{L_s=\{x\in X\mid \omega(O_{X,x})=s\}\), \(s\in {\mathbb N}\). The purpose of this paper is to give conditions when \((L_s)\) are constructible and \(\omega\) takes only finitely many different values on \(X\).
