The authors investigate the behavior of the solution of the Cahn-Hilliard equation by means of an orthogonal cubic spline collocation method, and present optimal order error estimates. Some numerical experiments are given and discussed by using monomial basis functions in the spatial direction and RADAU 5 time integrator.
