The authors prove existence and uniqueness of global strong solutions to an initial-boundary value problem for the Korteweg--de Vries equation in a bounded domain with moving boundaries and nonhomogeneous boundary conditions. Moreover, exponential decay of small solutions in asymptotically cylindrical domains is shown.
