\textit{N.\,N.\,Chentsov} and \textit{E.\,A.\,Morozova} started to study monotone Riemannian metrics on the manifold of \(n\times n\) density matrices. They proved that such metric determines a positive function \(c(\mu, \lambda)\) of two variables in [Itogi Nauki Tekh., Ser.\ Sovrem.\ Probl.\ Mat., Novejshie Dostizh.\ 36, 69--102 (1989; Zbl 0727.60006)]. In particular, \[ c(\lambda, \mu)=\frac{1}{\mu f(\lambda \mu^{-1})} \] is called Morozova-Chentsov function, and it is closely related to the matrix monotonicity of~\(f\). In the present paper, the author gives a new matrix monotone function which is based on the Pick function, and as a consequence, obtains a new Morozova-Chentsov function.
