Partial balayage (of a positive, Radon measure with compact support in \(\mathbb{R}^d\)) was considered by \textit{B. Gustafsson}, [J. Anal. Math. 55, 172--216 (1990; Zbl 0745.31002)]. In this paper, the author constructs the partial balayage with classical potential-theoretic methods, proves its existence and uniqueness and establishes the structure formula in full generality. A stochastic construction of partial balayage is also provided.
