The authors suggest and analyze three-step iteration methods for finding the common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of variational inequalities. They also study convergence criteria of three-step iterative methods under some mild assumptions. The results of the paper may be considered as significant improvement and refinement of some already known results. The motivation is interesting.
