The paper deals with the category \(W\) of Archimedean lattice-ordered groups (\(\ell \)-groups) with distinguished weak order unit in which morphisms are \(\ell \)-group homomorphisms preserving units. The authors describe a topological approach to the analysis of the epimorhisms (i.e. right-cancellable morphisms) in \(W\).
