In this paper a trigonometric sum over a half-period, weighted by an arbitrary sequence of complex number is considered. The author applies the ideas in [\textit{M. Beck, B. C. Berndt, O-Yeat Chan} and \textit{A. Zaharescu}, Int. J. Number Theory 1, No. 3, 333--356 (2005; Zbl 1088.11064) and \textit{B. C. Berndt} and \textit{A. Zaharescu}, Math. Ann. 330, No. 3, 551--575 (2004; Zbl 1099.11039)] to derive a theorem analogous to a special case of the periodic Poisson summation formula found in the work [\textit{B. C. Berndt} and \textit{L. Schoenfeld}, Acta Arith. 28, 23--68 (1975; Zbl 0268.10008)] for the sum \[ \sum_{0<n<k/2}a_nf(n), \] where \(f(z)\) is an analytic function. To weighted trigonometric sums over a half-period whose weights are the integers and the alternating integers this theorem is applied. These results generalize the results in [Beck et al. (loc. cit.)], where a trigonometric sums weighted by real, primitive, non-principal Dirichlet characters is considered.
