In this paper, the definition of kinematic relative velocity, Fermi relative velocity, spectroscopic relative velocity and astrometric relative velocity are generalized for two given observers indepently of any coordinate system. Examples and properties of all four definitions are given in general relativity (in the Schwarzschild metric and in the Robertson-Walker metric).
