The authors study the electrostatic turbulence driven by ion temperature gradient assuming gyrokinetic ions and adiabatic electrons in a uniform magnetic field in slab configuration as found in fusion plasma devices. The derived five-dimensional system of gyrokinetic Vlasov-Poisson equations is treated by a new numerical Vlasov code having the required conservation property, which turns out to be an advantageous method for a long time micro-turbulence simulations.
