It is well known that Hardy and Littlewood extended the classical Fejér result on the convergence of \((C,1)\)-means of Fourier series to strong means. The notion of strong approximation is due to G. Alexits. In this paper the pointwise strong and very strong approximation of Fourier series are considered and four theorems are proved. The results are proved for functions which belong to a certain subspace of the \(L^2\)-space with \(1<p\leq 2\).
