The authors investigate the joint limit distribution of coordinatewise maxima of i.i.d. r.v.s with a bivariate geometric distribution (BGD). The Marshall-Olkin construction of BGD is used, i.e. the entries of BGD can be considered as numbers of trials to the successes in i.i.d. sequence of pairs of experiments.
