Given \(n_0 \in \mathbb N\), \(p_n>0\) and \(q_n\geq 0\) for all \(n \geq n_0\), the authors consider the following linear difference system \[ \Delta x_n=p_ny_n,\quad \Delta y_{n-1}=-q_nx_n, \quad n\geq n_0. \] They define a solution \(\{x_n,y_n\}\) as nonoscillatory if both \(\{x_n\}\) and \(\{y_n\}\) are nonoscillatory. In other cases, it is oscillatory. They prove some sufficient conditions to ensure that the solutions to this problem are either or not oscillatory. These conditions are related to the convergence or divergence of certain sums related to \(p_n\) and \(q_n\).
