    This note is concerned with real sequences that satisfy the recurrence relation \[ x_{n+1}=\frac{ f(x_{n-r_{1}},\dots ,x_{n-r_{k}})g(x_{n-m_{1}},\dots ,x_{n-m_{l}})+h(x_{n-p_{1}},\dots ,x_{n-p_{s}})+1}{ f(x_{n-r_{1}},\dots ,x_{n-r_{k}})+g(x_{n-m_{1}},\dots ,x_{n-m_{l}})+h(x_{n-p_{1}},\dots ,x_{n-p_{s}}) }, \tag{1} \] for \(n=0,1,\dots ,\) where \(R_{+}=(0,\infty ),\) \(f\in C\left( R_{+}{}^{k},R_{+}\right) ,\) \(g\in C\left( R_{+}{}^{l},R_{+}\right) ,\) \(h\in C\left( R_{+}{}^{s},R_{+}\right) ;\) \(k,l,s\in \{1,2,\dots \},\) \(0\leq r_{1}<\cdot \cdot \cdot <r_{k},\) \(0\leq m_{1}<\cdot \cdot \cdot <m_{l}\) and \( 0\leq p_{1}<\cdot \cdot \cdot <p_{s}.\) Let \(\alpha =\max \{r_{k},m_{l},p_{s}\}.\) Then given positive \(x_{-\alpha },x_{-\alpha +1},\dots ,x_{0},\) we may generate positive \(x_{1},x_{2},\dots \) in a unique manner. Such sequences are called positive solutions of (1). Let \(u^{*}=\max \left\{ u,1/u\right\} \) for any positive number \(u.\) It is shown that if \(f\) and \(g\) satisfy the conditions that (H1) \( (f(u_{1},u_{2},\dots ,u_{k}))^{*}\leq F(u_{1}^{*},u_{2}^{*},\dots ,u_{k}^{*})\) for some \(F\in C(R_{+}^{k},R_{+})\) and (H2) \( (g(u_{1},u_{2},\dots ,u_{l}))^{*}=g(u_{1}^{*},u_{2}^{*},\dots ,u_{l}^{*})\) and \( g(u_{1}^{*},u_{2}^{*},\dots ,u_{l}^{*})\leq u_{1}^{*},\) then the sequence \(\{ 1,1,1,\dots\} \) is the unique positive equilibrium solution of (1) which is globally asymptotically stable.
