In an earlier paper [Appl. Categ. Struct. 9, No. 4, 395--417 (2001; Zbl 0978.54019)], the author and \textit{C. Gilmour} observed that the Stone-Čech compactification of a completely regular frame \(L\) can be realized as the frame of regular ideals of \(\text{Coz\,}L\), the co-zero part of \(L\). This, however, is based on \(\text{Coz\,}L\) being a sub-\(\sigma\)-frame of \(L\); a result they proved in [Commentat. Math. Univ. Carol. 37, No. 3, 577--587 (1996; Zbl 0881.54018)] using the axiom of countable choice (ACC). In the article under review the author introduces the notion of complete normality and then constructs, without invocation to ACC, the Stone-Čech compactification of \(L\) as the quotient of the frame \({\mathfrak J}(\text{Coz\,}L)\) of ideals of \(\text{Coz\,}L\) consisting of fixed elements of the saturation nucleus. A minor slip in the verification of a key lemma, namely, \(\text{Coz\,}L\) is completely normal, is amended in the corrigendum appearing in the same issue as the article.
