If \(\Omega\) is a domain of holomorphy, the author constructs and studies dense subspaces of \(\mathcal H (\Omega)\) which (omitting the zero function) consist of functions which do not extend holomorphically outside \(\Omega\). As a consequence, he obtains several interesting characterizations of domains of holomorphy in \(\mathbb{C}^{n}\). An open problem is also presented.
